HOW CAN SCALABLE, RECONFIGURABLE TIMBER STRUCTURES BE UTILISED IN A CIRCULAR BUILDING ECONOMIC APPROACH TO ADDRESS THE CLIMATE CRISIS?

Staying on the residential scale, the town house cluster increases to a medium density solution. This project develops two townhouse designs ranging between two and three floors high using the 3.6m x 3.6m lightweight timber grid structure. The cluster is made up of ten townhouses total each with a single car garage, 3-4 bedrooms, and rooftop balconies. The modular system allows for various panelized facades of different materiality to be implemented allowing a wide range of aesthetic possibilities.
