About Me
Hello! I’m Douglas, an architectural graduate with a passion for creating thoughtful, sustainable design solutions. I hold a range of experience across commercial and residential projects in Auckland and Christchurch, and bring a dynamic blend of creativity and technical skill to each project. I am dedicated to designing spaces that not only serve functional needs but also enhance the lives of those who inhabit them

Skills & Expertise
I have a well-developed skillset in digital modelling, drafting, rendering, and animation, ensuring precision and efficiency in bringing design concepts to life. I am also avid model maker with experience using advanced fabrication methods like laser cutters, CNC milling, and 3D printers.
At its core, my work is built on a commitment to sustainability; I believe that architecture should always respond with a particular care and sensitivity to its environment. Therefore, I am constantly exploring new ways to integrate sustainable practices into my projects.
Beyond Architecture
Outside of work, I am an enthusiastic saxophonist, finding creative fulfilment through Jazz. Music gives me a creative outlet similar to architecture through freedom of expression and improvising. I’m also an active kitesurfer, tennis player, hiker, and skier, which keeps me grounded and inspired. These hobbies give me a fresh perspective on design and reinforce my belief in the balance of function, beauty, and joy in the spaces we create.
